Hannah is five years old and totally adorable!  And her mom is pretty great with photo editing!  Check out this picture!  Lovely, right?!?!?

Gigi has grown!

I went to visit my sister this weekend and help her celebrate her graduation with her Master's in Reading.  Way to go 'chelle!  Anyhow, I made Gianni a special tutu to wear to the graduation, and she was adorable--as always!  It was hard to get her to stand still in the tutu--she couldn't stop twirling!  So, this is an action shot, but I thought I had better post a newer picture of Gigi since the last ones are exactly one year old today!  (I'll post pics of Morgan's birthday soon!)

So, I am still waiting on my toddler size dress form. It should arrive any day now! In the meantime, I thought I would post a couple of more pictures from Mo's first birthday! These are of my beautiful niece, Gianna, whom we loving refer to as Monster Baby, or Gigi!

Morgan's First Birthday

Since Morgan's first birthday was what started this whole tutu adventure, I thought I would post some pictures from her special day. After I made Morgan's tutu, I thought it would be cute if I made one for my niece (who is seven weeks older than Morgan). Then, after I made Gigi's tutu, I thought it would be even more cute if all of the little girls at Mo's party had a tutu. Nine tutus later, my husband was getting worried I was going to put him in a tutu! I stopped there, but I did resume tutu making a few weeks later, in preparation for the Fourth of July--I made 27 red, white, and blue tutus for our lake friends! But, that's another post...

The Beginning

Oh my word! I am totally doing this! I am so excited! This blog is a work in process, but I was so excited I couldn't wait to post something! I have recently started selling tutus, and I thought a blog might be helpful in getting the word out. I will be posting pictures as soon as I get my Mother's Day present--a toddler size dress form with a stand! (Any of you who have seen the pictures on Facebook with Winnie-the-Pooh as my model can appreciate my need for a dress form!)

Thanks for all the encouragement so far! I cannot wait to see where this leads!

Oh, anyone wondering about the name? HBK-my initials! When my husband and I were newly married, he jokingly said my initials stood for the "heart break kid". I thought it was funny--and clever! And here we are, nearly ten years later, with our own little heart breakers, whom I love and love to create stuff for!
